Insights & KPIs

Read liquidity, efficiency, profitability, and solvency metrics — and build custom monitors.

Where: /insights (categories: liquidity, efficiency, profitability, solvency).

  • The left sidebar lists Financial Health and your insight groups. Each group/metric shows a status dot (green = healthy, yellow = warning, red = breached). Use the search box to find one quickly; expand a group to see its metrics.

Read a KPI

  • The detail panel shows the current value, change, and trend, with tabs for Overview (chart), Data Table (values by period), and Detail.
  • Toggle Budget to overlay budget comparison; use the Period Comparison selector to change ranges.
  • Deep-dive an individual KPI at /insights/kpi/:kpiSlug.

Create a Custom Insight

  1. Click + Add custom insight (bottom of the sidebar).
  2. Choose a starting path: Start from a question (describe a finance question; FigureFlow suggests signals) or Start from a metric (pick a KPI to build a monitor around).
  3. Select the supporting signals and set alert thresholds.
  4. Review & Launch to activate the monitor.

Edit: Open the insight → Edit (route /insights/:id/edit) to change its title, signals, or thresholds.

Investigate an alert: Click an alert badge to open the workspace modal showing the triggered rules and reasoning; click Acknowledge to mark it reviewed, then Close.

Customer & Inventory reviews

When your data supports them, Customers and Inventory appear as their own entries in the Insights sidebar, each with a health dot like any other group.

  • Customers — revenue concentration (customers to 80% of revenue), top customers, what customers buy, receivables aging, and payment behaviour.
  • Inventory — turnover, how quickly stock sells and is replaced, and where it isn't moving.

Each opens a System review: a written analysis for the selected Period, the analysis windows it used, and its findings. Where a finding is actionable the review offers a Prioritised chase list (overdue invoices, oldest balance, days overdue, customers affected) with Create chase tasks, Draft reminders in chat, and View tasks.

If a review can't run, it says why rather than showing an empty panel — usually because the underlying sub-ledger data isn't in yet.
